Falcons have yet another reason to celebrate, as they keep the momentum going with a home turf victory in honor of the graduating Seniors! Baby, it was cooold outside- but Falcons were bringing the heat, despite getting off to a slow start and a wake up call. Glen Burnie fired right out of the gate- scoring on the opening drive with a kick return that set the Gophers up on the 9 yard line and scored their only touchdown of the game in the first 2 minutes. Offense came back swinging- led by Senior Jeff Hoffman, who scored 3 touchdowns and rushed for 241 yards on 36 carries, bringing the house. The O-Line cleared the way for Hoffman, with some great blocking by Norman Gee, David Sells, and an impressive 37 yard run by Ryan Budka. David Horn passed a 21 yard touchdown to Sean DiBlasi, which put the Falcons ahead 12-7 at halftime. Seniors Chris Choe and Bobby Zichelli also had 2 interceptions for positive Falcon yards!  Defense was dominant throughout the game, holding Glen Burnie scoreless for 3 quarters. Matt Lacher, Rob Turnblacer, Alex Kin, Dan White, Andrew Ferris, Jason Butler and Ryan Willey all held tough, and shut the Gophers down inside the 10 enough times to secure the win. This was definitely the stuff memories are made of, and the Senior Class of 2003 left their lasting impression on Roberts Field. Join us next week for the last game of the 2002 season at Annapolis High School, as the Falcons gear up for one of the toughest games of the year against the Panthers.
