Severna Park just keeps trucking as they pull out another victory this week against Meade in a Monday showdown that started with a bang! Falcons scored right out of the stable as David Horn completed a 68 yard pass into the waiting hands of Dean Samuel for a Falcon touchdown that put momentum on our side. Meade answered right back with work horse running back Hasaan Muhammad, who broke through the Falcon defense with a 52 yard run to put Meade back in the game for a Mustang score. Falcons offense wouldn't take it lying down, as Mike Miller ran the ball deep into Mustang territory, which set Horn up for the QB keep- and another Severna Park touchdown! Chris Choe and Mike Miller both proved size doesn't matter by playing with a whole lot of heart, moving the ball past the Meade defense in the blink of an eye. Tommy Zichelli made an awesome 23 yard reception for another Falcon score, and extra points were kicked right between the posts to give Park a total of 22 points on the board, capped off with a third quarter 34 yard field goal, all courtesy of Andrew Bremer! Defense stepped up, with some awesome effort all around- Andrew Ferris, Dave Sells, Bobby Zichelli, Norman Gee, and Matt Lacher were all roping some Mustangs to the ground, managing to hold Meade scoreless in the second half. Alex Kin was credited with 2 QB sacks, and Jeff Hoffman sacked as well leaving the Mustangs with a loss they won't soon forget! Dan White had 2 interceptions, and Ryan Budka & Andrew Ferris each recovered a fumble in a total team effort that brought the victory home! How Sweet It Is! Falcons will rest for a few days before facing off on Friday against the home field Southern Bulldogs... Come on out and see what everyone is cheering about!
