Despite predictions of doom and gloom, 5th ranked Falcons showed up to prove they had what it takes to defeat the 3rd ranked Patriots for the first time since 1999- and did just that in an exciting grudge match that went down to the wire! The Patriots had the much anticipated Brashsaad Mayweather in their corner- who managed to gain 200 yards against the Mighty Falcon defense, but Old Mill still came up short when all was said and done.  Despite bending to the Patriots, the Falcon Front still has only allowed 6 points on the opponent side of the scoreboard in the last 3 games! Alex Kin, Sean DiBlasi, Dan White, Rob Turnblacer, Andrew Ferris and Matt Lacher all got down and dirty which held the Patriots to only one touchdown and a sack by Chris Choe. Ryan Budka also showed an awesome effort, chalking up 2 key tackles after coming back from a sprained ankle which has kept him sidelined for 3 games this season. Offensively, Matt Jahnigen had an  awesome 39 yard run which put Mike Miller downfield for one of the pair of touchdowns he scored for Park. Jeff Hoffman was the target of the Old Mill defense, and still managed to move those chains for 101 yards even with a few Patriots on his back. On O-Line: Matt Lacher, Tim Hackmann, Chris Anthony, Rob Dooley, and Jacob Baxter- who also is returning from the injured list with a torn meniscus- earned some respect by punching some holes in the Patriot defense, and allowing no sacks. David Horn completed passes to Dean Samual and Norman Gee which gave the Falcons some critical first downs and kept us in the game for the second half, which allowed the Severna Park to kneel the final four plays, and burn the clock to another W and a FAN-atic victory celebration!! See if the Falcon Underdogs can win again as they face off against Meade next week for another round of unfinished business  after being defeated 46-7 last year.

Dan White, Brandon Samuel, and Doug Barron celebrate with Coach Hines after securing a win!
