Severna Park started this game with good enough intentions. Their opening drive got rolling with a 25 yd. TD pass from Pat Morrison to Chris Hunt before things slowed considerably. Northeast has been called the best 0-4 team in the league and they showed up to play, proving a defense to be reckoned with. Heading into the new field house at halftime, the Falcons were ahead by a modest 6-0 lead. Gaining their composure they started the second half with something to prove. Severna Park took control with a 16 play, 81 yard drive that ended with a 1 yd jaunt over the goal line by Morrison. The Falcons put the game away when Chris Hunt blocked a fourth quarter punt, which was recovered by Sean Price and returned for a TD, followed by an extra point kick by Pat Bateman. QB Pat Morrison led the team in rushing yards with 14 carries for 64 yards. Porter Johnson also had 46 yards on 10 carries. Falcon Defense was on target- Mark Hepburn led with 7 tackles followed by Tommy Bryant and Jamie Sisk with 5 tackles each. Tambua Bradford had a sack. The Falcons host North County this Friday at Roberts Field. Come cheer them on as defending County Champs!
