Falcon Defense dished out an Eagle homecoming heartbreak this week as they shut out Northeast 34-0. The Falcon offense came out of the gate running... this time with Porter Johnson scoring  2 TD's in the first half. QB Greg Zingler connected with 2 TD passes in the 3rd quarter- one to Marques Johnson and one to Tom Babington. Steve  Pecevich had a great kicking game, making 4 of 5 extra points for Severna Park. Defense had Mark Otto leading the team with  8 tackles, with standout performances by Chris Hunt, Mark Hepburn, Dax Kettler, Brent Sanders, Tommy Bryant, Joey Greco, and Lewis Spadaro. Set up with a comfortable lead allowed Park to do some shuffling of the roster, 4th quarter had sophomore Pat Morrison in the QB position where he threw the final score of the game, connecting with a 30 yd. TD to Chas Kerrigan. The Eagles made a comeback drive late in the 4th quarter and were stopped short by a Tambua Bradford interception at 1st and goal.  Second team defense got serious pushing Northeast backward over the next series of plays, with some hard hits by Uriel Duncan and Brooks Chalmers. Pat Mercer racked up a sack and Northeast was laid to rest when Tyler Chase recovered the final fumble to end the game. Falcons return next week as the Homecoming rivals to the North County Knights... See you at the game!
