The 2005 season opened as the Falcons took to the road- and it turned out to be a long one against  Calvert Hall. The Falcons best effort came up short in the end but it was tough competition indeed as the Cardinals were led by Syracuse bound Andrew Robinson at QB, as well as powerhouse Zentz on the running game. Playing both ways hurt Severna Park as the sun beat down on the turf Saturday afternoon, but the spirit remained til the final seconds ticked off the clock. Falcon QB Greg Zingler did well under a lot of Cardinal pressure completing 10 of 20 passes, connecting with Chris Hunt 5 times for 62 yards, and Dave Horn with 4 catches and 36 yards. Pat Morrison and  Chris Hunt each had a fumble recovery and Mark Otto led the defense with 10 tackles.  Falcons kickoff on the home field next week against the more familiar South River Seahawks.
