The 2004 season opened up against #5 ranked Roosevelt, and the Falcons surprised all the critics by pulling out a win against a fearsome PG county team!! Defense was the name of the game, and everyone stepped up to contain Raider powerhouse Derrick WIlliams, a top Division 1 prospect who was held to only 69 yards on 19 carries, and just 79 passing yards. At halftime the scoreboard remained 0-0, but the Falcons were first on the board with a 32 yard run by Andrew Ferris in the 3rd quarter. Despite  a great defensive effort from Brent Sanders, Roosevelt answered back with a touchdown pass, and the score was tied until late in the 4th quarter when senior Ben Hunt scored the winning touchdown with another on target pass from Zingler, and only 27 seconds left! Tim Hackmann, Tommy Massie, and Jon Hartman also had great offensive plays, racking up crucial yards for Severna Park. Greg Zingler shined at QB completing 7 of 18 passes for 139 yards and a touchdown! Defensively, the Falcons had  awesome effort from Mark Otto (who also batted down a crucial Raider pass), Joey Greco, Andrew Ferris, Dave Sells, Dan White, Chris Hunt, and Mark Hepburn (also with a fumble recovery). The Falcons are on the road again this Friday against South River. See you at the game!
