Homecoming spirit was in the air- the stands were packed and anticipation was high. The Falcons were quickly grounded by the visiting Bulldogs- and dealt some blows early when on the third play of the game Andrew Ferris went down with a leg injury, and it pretty much set the tone for Severna Park. Early in the first quarter, Southern scored with a big run by AJ Lee- and he was hard to contain despite good defensive efforts by Rob Dooley, Sean DiBlasi, Joey Lehner, and Alex Kin who scored a fumble recovery, and was also injured shortly before halftime. Late in the first quarter, Norman Gee recovered a fumble, giving Park possession and QB Greg Zingler followed up with a passing series which ended with a Touchdown pass to Tommy Zichelli for the Falcons lone score of the game. The extra point was blocked, and from that point on the Falcons were unable to put any points on the board. Dean Samuel made some great positive yardage, and also was unable to shake the injury bug when he took a hit later in the game. Ryan Budka had a great game despite what the scoreboard might show. Falcons face another tough opponent next week  when they go on the road against the Chesapeake Cougars next week. Come cheer them on!

Take a Knee for Andrew Ferris who had a leg injury early in the game, and still wanted back out on the field! Get Well Soon! Alex Kin and Dean Samuel are both doing well and should be back next week against Chesapeake.
