The varsity Falcons were back on their A game this week- and they racked up another shut out against the Mustangs with style. Led by sophomore QB Greg Zingler, the Falcons took to the passing game and moved the ball on down the field for an opening 98 yard drive capped with a touchdown pass to Dean Samuel, who had 7 receptions for a total of 71 yards. Second quarter opened with an interception by Andrew Ferris, who also led the team in rushing yards. Mark Murray and Tyson Mosely also had some big sprints, gaining valuable offensive yardage and moving the chains deep in Meade territory.  Meade's kicker stepped out of bounds for a Severna Park safety, which was followed on the next possession by a 44 yard run by Ryan Budka, who put it across from the 1 yard line for a Falcon another score. Don Lilly also recovered a fumble for an awesome special teams play keeping Park pumped up at the end of the second quarter. After halftime, the Falcons reigned supreme, with a runaround pass from Zingler to Sean DiBlasi for another Park TD, followed by a 2 pt. conversion pass to Steve Metzger. Fourth quarter saw some action for QB Justin Turcotte, and also good efforts by Jamie Powell and Isaiah Wallace. Defense was on Dooley time, creating havoc with sacks and David Sells also rang a bell- putting Meade QB Quintell Chestnut out for the night. Joey Lehner, Norman Gee, Sean DiBlasi and Alex Kin were also big playmakers on defense. Look Out next week- Falcons will have to stay in high gear going against the undefeated Southern Bulldogs in a homecoming rivalry game. Come cheer them on!
