The season ender rivalry ended in defeat for Park- but there was an air of victory nonetheless. Broadneck ended their year with an unblemished record, and both teams are moving on to be playoff contenders. The Falcons stayed on the heels of the Bruins the entire night and played with a vengeance led by Ryan Budka who led the ground game with 116 yds. rushing on 17 carries. Defense was top notch holding Broadneck's rushing attack to only 82 yards on 39 carries. Bryce Chamberlin, Sean DiBlasi, Dave Reim, Norman Gee, Alex Kin, Lee McFarland and Rob Dooley stopped a few Bruins in their tracks, and Andrew Ferris was back from injury to add a few negative yards in the Falcons favor. Joey Lehner and Tyler Alan also racked up back to back Marino sacks to keep Broadneck up against the wall til the bitter end.  Ryan Willey had an interception to halt a Bruins scoring drive, and Dean Samuel tipped in an awesome 70 yard touchdown with an interception in the second quarter. Greg Zingler capped it with the extra point kick. Both teams played tough til the end, but Park's hopes ended with an interception with 2 minutes left in the game.  The Senior Falcons had every reason to be proud ending their final season with a hard fought path to the playoffs. Falcons will face off against the Westlake Wolverines in Round One on Friday, November 14th. Come cheer them on!
